Installation of Proofing Tools of Office 365

Hi,

We have an Office 365 appstack which is working fine. But Proofing tools (Spelling and Grammer) are missing for the Office 365 appstack, may I know how to create an appstack with the proofing tools installed or can I install the Proofing tools separately on an Office 365 deployed VDI.

Thanks

Vivek VK

The issue was resolved by VMware engineer. The problem was old template version and new template version which made the difference in snapvol.cfg file.

Thanks everyone

Hi vivekrishna

You can install both (spelling & grammar) on same office365 appstack during the capture process. It is not required to install them separately.

Make sure you follow VMware Knowledge Base  and VMware App Volumes Provisioning Recipe for Microsoft Office 365

Thanks for your reply.

I have followed the VMware for provisioning Office 365 Appstack.

I am successful in provisioning the Office 365 pro plus + Proofing Tools package successfully and assigning it.

I am able to use the Office Apps but the proofing tools are missing (Showing in Add/Remove Programs).

-----------------------------------------

I tested on a VM using the same package, its showing installed. Only the issue happens when I provision through Appstack (it showing missing).

Conclusion : Proofing Tools are working Fine when I install on a standalone VM, but when I do it through the Appstack provisioning it shows missing.

May I know, if any changes are needed while creating the Appstack for conserving the installation of Addin (Proofing Tool).

Thanks,

Vivek VK.

Are you installing proofing tools using office XML file via click to run Or by running a direct installer for it?

If you are capturing it using the proofing tool installer, Try to first complete the office provisioning only with O365 apps and then update that appstack and then capture proofing tools on the new updated appstack. Do not install both components at the same time during provisioning.

If that also fails, I would recommend you to try deploying using office XML file once and check.

If neither of above two options work, If you are installing the Multi language version of the MS Office proofing tools. download the package with only one language and capture that and test.
