change the screen size of the virtual machine

Hi there

I hope u all are doing well

I installed a linux OS in vmware workstation pro but unfortunately the screen size too small, I could not find the related settings to change the screen size so could anyone help me by that?

Here is a screenshot of the whole screen and if u look at the pic so u see the screen size of the VM is too small Smiley Sad

Please consider installing VMware Tools as mentioned in the bottom of your screenshot.

This work for me

menu->View-> fit guess now or fit windows now

They come with installing VMware Tools in the guest OS.

Please power off the VM and power on again. This will enable VM > Install VMware Tools menu.

Hello,

On the Hardware Settings of your virtual machine, go to Display and check that the Option "Use host setting for monitors" is selected, as below:

Maybe you have set the option "Specify monitor settings" instead?

Hello, I fixed the problem:

 

Just go to your Virtual Machine System and go into the settings there. Like the actual "display screen size" on in the linux settings or whatever youre running. It had a low resolution selected for me there. I put it on 1920x1080 and it worked
