6.7 vRealize Plugin Install

New with 6.7 HTML5 client there is a vRealize Operations plugin. When I choose Install and go through all the prompts, the install fails. Do I need to have a vRealize server for this plugin to work?

Thank you

What this plugin does is display a set of predefined dashboards with vrops data so yes you need vrops installed and running for the vrops plugin to plugin to

Thank you. Would creating a new VM just for vRealize be a best practice?

you have to it is a vended appliance. Also you need to size the cluster correctly for the number of objects you want to monitor. work out if you want HA or not and the impact that will have on the cluster size and you have to have the licences for it as it is separate from the host licencing unless you have vcloud suite licences

I have my vRealize appliance up and running. In vSphere 6.7 when I go to Menu - vRealize Operations and choose Install it still fails. Any ideas?

Thank you,

I went in the vrops web interface and added a cloud account. After I did that I went back to the vSphere HTLM5 client, Menu - vRealize Operations and now everything was there. Did I have to first have to add a cloud account in the web interface?
