Hi all,
Since recently we have a strange issue on our clients where some settings will not be imported. The reason why is to be expected. The condition set was evaluated to be false. But the reason why the condition set was evaluated to be false is a strange thing that sometimes happens to some users at some point of the day.
We have a Windows 10 1809 environment with UEM 9.6
In the user logging I see an error 1789 as depicted below. After this error some settings are not being imported because of the condition set is evaluated to be false.
[WARN ] Conditions: Error 1789 looking up group 'Domain\GroupName' -- treating as membership of group = false
This happens sometimes and if the users log off the empty settings are still being exported which results in an empty zip file. If the users logs back in again immediately after logging off I don’t see the errors 1789 anymore and the empty zip file is being imported successfully.
I think this is some sort of hiccup between the client and the domain controller to verify AD group membership but cannot find anything about this error.
Some help would truly being appreciated. Thanks
Hi hvsysteembeheer,
I think this is some sort of hiccup between the client and the domain controller
I'd say your hunch is correct, as error 1789 means: "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed."
Thanks for the reply. Now trying to replicate the issue or find a correlation in the splunk logging.
Maybe you got some tips how to troubleshoot this?
Hi hvsysteembeheer,
No, sorry, I don't. I know the UEM product pretty well , but I know much less about Windows infrastructure issues. Hopefully someone else on the forum has some suggestions.
Hi,
I have the same problem now.
Did someone already solve this problem?
Thanks.
