I have a retired HP from an old job at home. Was running 6.7 on it (free/standalone)
Downloaded and installed 7.0, didn't notice the download page still said "VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6 License" with my existing key.
I did try and it doesn't work on 7.0 so system says I'm in eval mode for 60 days.
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks in advance.
the site evalcenter is not up to date in the moment. if i try to register for this theres always an error "content not available"
Hi,
After you upgrade to ESXi 7.0, you must apply a vSphere 7.x license.
If you upgrade an ESXi host to a version that starts with the same number, you do not need to replace the existing license with a new one. For example, if you upgrade a host from ESXi 6.5 to 6.7, you can use the same license for the host.

Right, but under "my vmware" it only shows my 6.0 key on the same page with the 7.0 downloads.
Have they just not updated the site?
yes - seems that the 7.0 license is not available yet. just wait - you have 60 days remaining
Hi,
you have to wait a little longer, it's not yet on sale.

I've registered for esxi 7.0 key and I've got it 2 days ago. It's available.
Instead I still haven't the upgrade possibility in my NFR Partner license, probably for this one I've to wait next renew.
