This is ono of my worst days !,, i only took the consolidation action as it ask me to do and my vm crashed

The consolidation action it was stooped suddenly with error failed

And then the VM was thinner ie: it was 140GB ,before it was about 400gb

my vm crashed ...all the sites of my son (he dye one and half mounth ago) , i wanted this site for him

and i noticed there is no vmdk (flat) file

There is a delta fvmdk of 125gb (some think like this) left and more smaller file

see the picture

ggg.jpg

Can i do some thing and revert to my vm , it seems that it is a dangerous software!

If you want to know if the flat can be recovered - see Create a VMFS-Header-dump using an ESXi-Host in production | VM-Sickbay

If you provide a dump like that I can check ....

Hi
did you managed to create a dump ?

dd if=/dev/disks/t10.ATA_____HGST_HUS726020ALA610____________________K5GZH4RA____________:3  bs=1M count=2048 | gzip -c >  /tmp/isacarush.2048.gz

when the command runs watch the output - you may not have enough free space in /tmp

look at the command I gave you - it writes to /tmp so no risk here to cause any harm by creating the dump.
