Intelligent Hub Notifications Service

Dear Community,

I would like to use the Intelligence Hub Notification capabilities to send custom notifications to iOS devices.

In my scenario both Workspace ONE and Workspace ONE Access are on-premise. Is that possible or this functionality is only available for cloud hosted solutions?

I am unable to find any definitive answer within the official documentation so far.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I guess we can push notifications to iOS devices by using Apple Push Notification service(APNs).

The architecture shows that the UEM server should have an outbound connection to the APNs service of Apple.

APNs Certificates

We can find that detailed description of source / destination port.

On-premises Architecture Network Requirements

I guess below tables has some destination server that matches "*.apple.com".

  • Console Server Ports
  • API Server Ports (if standalone)
  • Device Services Server Ports

Hope this helps.

How to Activate Hub Services

Working in the Hub Notifications Service

The links above suggest that a cloud Workspace ONE Access tenant is required for Hub Services, thus Hub Notifications. You can still use Push Notifications from the UEM console.

Dear Josue,

Thank you for your feedback!

In this case since Workspace ONE Access is on-premise we will not be able to utilize that functionality.

The problem is that we do not want to use the Compliance Policy engine to send push notifications in bulk.

Is there any other way to send push notifications in bulk, REST API or?

Thank you in advance!

Veselin
