Another False Positive

we have finding

  • vSphere-VMotionNetworkConnection-KB#1007464

I have been through all our VDswitches and portgroups and everything is set how it suggests in the KB yet your system says we have 26 objects affected which we dont.

We have updated the finding logic to resolve this false positive. Can you confirm that the Finding is not appearing now for you within Skyline Advisor, noting that this was originally displayed as a false positive.

So this is on the switches, I have also run the command against the port groups and they all list notify switches set as true on all portgroups and VDswitches and the finding reports that these portgroups and switches are affected not having the notify switches enabled.

Version is v2.3.0.2

I think I have the same issue - it says I need "notify=yes" but for the vDS I see they are set to yes.

Aside: the KB really needs to have better steps for the resolution - it is more related to the networking loss than fixing the issue.

I believe this to be a bug in the finding logic. Engineering is reviewing the finding logic, and will update appropriately. As soon as it is resolved, I'll reply back to this Discussion. Any other questions or comments, let us know. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

My false positives are removed from the findings, looks all good to me.
