Unable to see USB devices

I recently downloaded VM Fusion (v. 11.5) on my mac (macOS Catalina v. 10.15.3) and cannot see anything I plug into the USB ports in windows 10.  They all seem to only show up on my mac.  In the settings, I have tried both "Ask what to do" and "Connect to this virtual machine."  My USB compatibility is set to 3.0.
