Mac - VMware Horizon update issues

Updated my Mac to OS Catalina 10.15.4 and VMware Horizon Client to version 5.4.1 yesterday, and now I get the following error: "The smart card reader does not detect a smart card. Please insert a smart card." Tried it on my older Mac without the updates and it worked fine.   Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I'm having this same exact problem as of this morning after installing the 10.15.4 update. Please help! I need this to work since I must work from home due to COVID.

I have an update on this. My husband got hold of VMware Horizon. They are working on a patch for this right now. It should be released sometime today.

I just installed an update that was offered and it fixed the issue immediately. Thanks to VMWare for taking care of it so quickly.

VMware Horizon was working fine....then I did the exact same updates.  My problem is I can connect to my company server, get my department icons, but as soon as I click to connect to my desktop, I get message "disconnected from desktop."  I've worked with our ITS and it's a known problem with Catalina.  Have tried all available versions of VMware Horizon and none work after the update to Catalina 10.15.4.  This is a real problem since I need to work from home during the Covid-19 crisis. Need a fix.  Smiley Sad
