Hi.

They are windows 7 64 and there are around 200 VMs on that pool and only about 6 wont stay ON, they go all the way to the login screen and then start shutting down.

Thanks for jumping in

Is these all 200 VMs ruining windows 7 from Citrix Provisioning server or using Horizon?

Hi, please check their status in Horizon View management web interface (in this path: Resources>Machines) when they are provisioned.

Are they available? Do you have access to them in the network when they are power-on?

Can you connect them via a simple RDP connection without considering horizon act ?

What's the status of Horizon Agent inside the VM guest OS? Can you check it by connecting to the VM console in the vSphere environment?

Amin.

They showed as provisioned, due to the fact they are off

1) I cant RDP because it does not stay Turn ON enough to even try that

2) I can see them in Vsphere but because the shutdown I can a black console

I click on Power ON and the machine goes all the way to CRT ALT DEL and in seconds after that  start shutting down.

Thanks

Ok, please try to provision a VM from your source VM/Template outside of desktop pool operation in vSphere environment and check its operation. Also check one of your machines in safe mode with networking. Can you boot them in such as this state and check any related event or problem?!

Also re-create your desktop pool in Horizon environment and change type of provisioning without changing the source VM/template and review the result

View admin shows "creating refresh point" error, i check and the view composer has a certificate issue, what does composer has to do with vm other than provisioning. might this be the issue with the machine not stay ON

Thanks

So as you informed they are provisioned from a linked clone desktop pool, is it correct?!

As the first step, can you check Composer server connectivity or even add it again to the Horizon environment?

Then please check the Horizon required network ports for the composer server

Also check the version of all VDI components (Connection Server, Composer server and so on)

What is the power policy set to in your Pool settings?  It sounds like you need to set it to Ensure Machines are Always Powered On.
