redeploy predefined default settings possible?

Hey guys,

is it possible to redeploy predefined default settings to all profiles? I had to change the settings because of a new program version, but I just want to deploy it for the next logon and not for every logon.

regards

Alex

Hi Alex,

The most straightforward option would be to push your updated defaults via a Files and Folders setting. Make sure to pick After profile archive import, to overwrite the users' current settings, and to select Run once to have this only take place one time (please also see KB 2146336 for "run once" logic with non-persistent local profiles.)

Just to make sure: you of course also have to update your default predefined settings, so users who don't have a profile archive yet get the correct, new defaults.

And yes, this is a somewhat laborious workflow... I would love to simplify this, but we've never been able to come up with a good approach that is sufficiently generic...
