Floating Horizon 7.10 Win10 Pools (1903) with Appv 2.18 - Any success stories with Onedrive + File On demand?

Just wondering if anyone has this working reliably and did you have to do any specific config,

I am using the Appvolumes with writable volumes Profile only and it doesn't work that well

Often Onedrive will give errors like the attached and just generally not give good performance + oddities like not staying logged in between desktops

We have a ticket logged with VMware and they have said

I can confirm multiple customers have encountered this issue and VMW engineering are actively investigating.

As yet there are no viable workarounds available for the issue from VMW engineering.

it's hurting us quite a lot at the moment

Hi Poom22,

We have tested OneDrive successfully on 2.18.2 with Writable Volumes and it works with no issues.  We do have one fix for a specific issue regarding OneDrive in 2.18.2 where an online file is not accessible the first time it is accessed.

Please see the VMware App Volumes 2.18.2 Release Notes for more details.

Have you seen the new Office 365 on Horizon operational tutorial? https://techzone.vmware.com/resource/best-practices-delivering-microsoft-office-365-vmware-horizon-7...

It's got some detailed info about making OneDrive work with non-persistent desktops, which is a requirement for App Volumes. Specifically, making sure you're using the latest OneDrive Sync App (rather than the older groove.exe, for example) and installing Office components with shared computer activation (necessary for non-persistent desktops) may help.
