Error: The client integration plug-in must be installed to enable OVF functionality

Hi,

I have tried all the methods on this error, from several kb articles and VMware discussion forums.  However, I have not found any useful solution that actually works for me.

I have MacBook pro running MacOS Catalina ver 10.15.3 and I am unable to console to any VMs from WebGUI of ESXi 5.5 environment as well as I am unable to "Deploy any OVF/OVA" as I get the following error:

Can someone please support on this issue ?

Thanks,

Did you try to use PowerCLI ?

Import-vApp -Source "c:\vapps\appliance.ova" -Datastore <datastore> -VMHost <vmhost>
