Shortcuts created by UEM (9.7) need removing

I have created a few (errant) shortcuts with UEM that I need to remove.  First, I need to find where they are.  They were create with Program Folders Startup selected (shortcut was to display a message when user logs in to VDI).  This is on a dedicated / persistent session, so the shortcut stayed, even when we disabled them in UEM.  I have checked in  C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp, but that folder is empty (I have ensured that hidden items are shown).  However, ever time user logs in, those shortcuts are run, displaying the message we do not want displayed anylonger.  Where else would they be?

Hi GarTomlon,

That's interesting... %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup is definitely where UEM/DEM creates shortcuts when you pick Programs folder as the destination, and enter Startup in the text box.

Does DIR /s/b "%USERPROFILE%"\*.lnk provide any insight into where those old shortcuts might reside? Are you by any chance redirecting the Startup folder or the AppData folder? (Symptoms would not quite match, but I'm clutching at straws here...)

Hi GarTomlon,

User-specific shortcuts reside in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup. C:\ProgramData\... is the common folder.

That's just it.  The location at C:\ProgramData\....., the Startup folder is empty; and within %APPDATA%\Microsoft, it is empty past APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows  (There is no Startup folder)

It was the redirect.  I was not thinking and it is stored on a network share.  Thanks for your help.
