Best practice for configuring new vSphere 6.7 POST setup

Hello,

I'm looking for what the best practices would be to optimize a vSphere 6.7 environment AFTER it was already built, and in use.

This environment is not in production yet, but eventually will be.

I am being handed this environment, but want to make sure it's following best practices in it's configurations.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here are a few points to consider,

  • Make sure your vcenterserver deployment size matches your inventory.
  • Monitor and acknowledge the warning and alerts in the vcenter server.
  • To maintain the load on the esxi hosts enable DRS on the cluster.

Hi,

The environment is now built, so you have to pay attention to the warnings, check that the hosts are not too loaded, that the datastores have enough space, etc ... I am attaching an interesting file that you can read.

Regardless of many VMware recommendation documents that other expert attached, I wrote two brief posts about it (both of them are still not completed and ASAP I will write other parts of them). Hope to be useful for you:
