Permissions to new Group on vCSA

Hello,

I've vCSA 6.7.

I've 2 hosts and 5 VMs. I need to give "virtual machine user" permission to some users only to some of the 5 VMs.

What I've done

- create a new folder in VMs and Template and move 4 VMs on it

- create a new Group named SW-Users

- create two users (userA and userB) and put in SW-Users Group

- in VMs and Template selected the new folder and add permission "virtual machine user" to the SW-Users Group.

When I try to login on vCSA as one of the two users I get message: Unable to login because you do not have permission on any vCenter Server systems connected to this client.

If a give permission not to the Group, but directly to the user I can login regularly, even if I can't see the VMs on host and cluster, but just on VMs and Template.

Any idea?

Thanks

Luca

The behaviour when logging in as the user is as I would expect, so it's definitely the group element that's the problem.

I knew about it.

But what can be wrong on this configuration?

Same step for user and group...
