Minimum number of bear metal server which is in IBM cloud with NSX （NSXの導入に際してのCloud側のベアメタルサーバの最小数に関して）

If we install NSX on IBM cloud, how minimum number of  bare metal server do we need in IBM cloud ? If number of bear metal server is only one, NSX work with no problem?

NSXをIBM Cloudに導入した場合、ベアメタルサーバは、最低いくつ必要なのでしょうか？一つのベアメタルサーバでもNSXを使用することは可能でしょうか？

hey here are my 2 cents hope this helps:

assuming that I understand the idea of your query, depending on the amount of workloads and the performance required you can have an estimated to set the number of EDGE nodes, so for example what I do I will check the configmax.vmware.com page from there will check kind of services so if I pretend to have network services thru this EDGEs that behave or require a symmetric connection and with HA in my mind will use a couple of them, if in the other hand I need more throughput and I will handle the symmetric routing services in another way then I will go with 4 EDGEs all in ECMP.

If you only have one again depending on what you are using this to, it is functional but not recommended since in case of a failure you won't have a way to recover.

Vmware with NSX environment construction is Testing environment.

It is not so important to redundant the system.

The main target is that we understand the system of NSX, Vmotion and IBM cloud.

Although it is possible to build a NSX-T Lab Environment  with one bare metal server,

I thought it might be necessary to confirm the specifications of IBM Cloud.

For example, each NSX-T N-VDS requires an uplink,

so it depends on the specific NSX-T component configuration and the number of physical NICs.

検証用 NSX-T 環境を 1台のベアメタルサーバで構築することは可能ですが、

たとえば NSX-T の N-VDS ごとにアップリンクが必要になるので、具体的なNSX-Tコンポーネント構成と物理NIC数などにもよります。

そのあたりについて、IBM Cloud で利用できるハードウェアの仕様確認が必要そうかなと思いました。
