adding vcloud director

I'm a service provider and I'm setting up vCloud Usage Meter 3.6.

I've correctly added my vCenter Server and I can strat metering.

The question is: have I to add my vCloud director too? If yes why? Which is the infos missing from vCenter Server and provided by  vCloud Director ?

Thanks for reaching out. You have to add to Usage Meter all the products you have as part of VCPP contract.

Per our terms of the VCPP agreement, any consumed product must be metered if available via Usage Meter.

Moreover, when configuring VCD for Usage Meter metering, Usage Meter can provide the provider with organization usage specific reporting (i.e. Customer aggregate reporting) along with VM/vApp monthly consumption. Furthermore, we can also see which organizations are using NSX, vROps, and so forth.
