Today I tried to add some ESXi hosts in to my ONLY cluster in my Data Center. When I do I get the error: License not available to perform process. All of the hosts have the correct license. When I check Licensing in the Cluster it tells me expired ( I have Standard purchased). When I click assign license all I see is Evaluation License. Which is bullpucky because Licenses under Assets under Clusters it shows the cluster with the Expired License. Why?
Just to clarify. Did you add all your licenses (vCenter Server, and the ESXi licenses) to the vCenter Server's license inventory?
Does the vCenter Server itself has a license assigned?
Maybe some screenshots (with the license key grayed out) may help to understand this better.

Does This work?
What about the "HOSTS" tab. Does it list your ESXi/CPU licenses?
If you add an ESXi host which has already assigned a paid license (Standard, Enterprise Plus, etc) assigned, the Add Host process should automatically add taht license to the vCenter Server's inventory.
