hello guys ,
hope you are doing well actually i will upload my vCenter photos
i need to run DRS , so shall i put all 17 hosts inside the cluster only and run the DRS ?
because i am afraid to put them all inside the cluster and then can't revert them back
also is there's any prerequisites or risk?
thank you guys
Hi,
Yes, of course you can do it safely.
Following are the steps to remove a host from the Cluster:
ARomeo
DRS is enabled per cluster, so if you want to use DRS against all 17 hosts you will need to put them into your cluster. The only way to remove a host from a cluster is to place it into maintainance mode which will allow you to remove it?
Not sure as to why you would want to remove them afterwards though especially as it seems you need to rely on DRS to balance load across your hosts?
Dear ALF thank you a lot for your response i am so worried and scared to take this action and can't revert them back
can you tell me the steps

Yes you can remove them from the cluster but only in MAINTAINENCE MODE.
Can I ask your reason for wanting to remove hosts from the cluster?
because my manager told me if we put them into hosts we can't return back
