Set Up vCenter HA - could not select vCenter HA network (browse window is blank)

Hello,

I have problem with vCenter HA setup through HTML5 client (FLEX client is working).

Once I start setup on first step I want to select vCenter HA network but browse window is blank - see picture.

I don't know what's the reason of this situation.

Hi

What's the version and build number of your VCSA?

I guess it's because of incomplete process of developing and embedding vSphere full features in to the HTML5-based web client. And in older versions you couldn't find some advanced features but as you said FLEX is ok. I had similar issues like that before especially in earlier release of vCenter 6.7

Hi,

Which vCenter version (and update) do you have?

Have you tried in html5 using another type of browser?

Hi all,

any updates on this? I'm facing the same problem - vCenter Server 7U1. I had configured vCenter HA with vCenter 7, but for the upgrade I had to deactivate the vCenter HA configuration. Now I'm trying to configure vCenter HA again - but the window for selecting the network is blank. I've tried it with Firefox from a Linux box, with Firefox from Windows and with IE from Windows. Allways the same behaviour.

I remember that I've had excatly this problem before and I managed to solve the problem - unfortunately I didn't document my solution. 😞 Now I'm stuck at the same point.

Any help is very appreciated.

Best regards,

Christian

Christian,

We are facing the same issue. It appears to be that all our Datacenters and hosts are in folders. vCenter can not see networks of objects in folders. If we pull a Datacenter out of the folder and put it into the root of vCenter then Networks can be seen. VMware support are looking into it.

Best Regards

Rob

Thanks, Rob, I can confirm, that it's working for me after I've moved the my virtual datacenter out of the folder it was in. I hope, VMware fixes this bug quickly...
