Cannot "resume" my VMware on my Macbook Pro running high sierra 10.13.6

I am using a Macbook Pro, running High Sierra 10.13.6;  I have partitioned VMware with Win 10.  I have not logged on to the VMare in over a year or more and when I attempt to run it; it runs forever...hours and hours..."Resuming."  I'm not that proficient at this, but I am smart enough to take direction!  Anyone help me please?

Hi,

There are a number of reasons why a VM can't be resumed and it is impossible to guess what the reason is with the current information.

If you don't care much about the running state of the programs in that VM then you can power it off and try to boot it as normal.

In order to power it off, select the VM in the virtual machine Library screen, then Select the Virtual Machine menu, now hold down the "option key" on your keyboard.

When you do that, the "Power Off" option should become available.

Select it and if you're lucky the VM will boot after that.
