App Volumes 4 : Issue scaling out App Volumes Manager

Hello,

We would like to have 2 App Volumes Manager pointing on the same database to provide load balacing and high availability of App Volumes Services.

We've deployed App Volumes on one server, and configured it (AD connection, vCenter connections), and installed a new App Volumes Manager on another server pointing to the same DB.

Unfortunately, it looks like it creates an issue as the credentials (AD, vCenter) cannot be decrypted from both App Volumes Manager. In the logs, we can see the following error :

"Error decrypting password for service account (CORP\svc_VDI_AppVolumes): Data Encryption Error: An exception occurred while decrypting given secret: bad decrypt"

Did I miss something ? Is there anything to configure on App Volumes Manager before creating another one ?

Normally you can have as many managers as you would like to and they can all point towards one DB.

What do you see in Configuration --> Managers? Do you see botyh managers inthere?

Hi,

No... I don't see any manager there. Also, when I go to https://my_app_vol_manager/register it tells me

The current App Volumes Manager server is unregistered. Please specify the address of a registered App Volumes Manager server and login credentials.

And I cannot register the other one neither...

Normally you should add the first Appvolumes manager server there and attach it to the cluster.
