Backup and Restore to a new macOS Device

I have a question about re-enrolling Intelligent Hub. What are the proper steps to backup and restore (via clone) a user'a macOS device to a new device? For example, if the user needs to send their machine out for service, we would use Carbon Cloner to backup the device. We then restore directly to the new laptop. Do we unenroll and re-enroll? or is there a way to just point Intelligent Hub to the new laptop?

Since the physical device is in fact different from the one previously enrolled, for security sake I would just re-enroll it after it's restored with backup.

That's what I ended up doing But, I actually had to fully uninstall Intelligent Hub. It won't re-enroll if I simply unenrolled the client.
