Devices with iOS 13beta5 are not resetting/changing passcode from AirWatch console

First scenario: iPad mini 5 with iOS 13beta3 installed, DEP device, enrolled: updated to Workspace One Intelligent Hub 19.07; tested various actions from Airwatch Console, everything works except for passcode change/erase (after sending the erase passcode from device command, the device is still locked with the old passcode)

Second scenario: iPad mini 5 with iOS 13beta3 installed, DEP device, erased and enrolled again: same issue, same behavior;

!!! Same scenario with an iPhone XR and XS running the latest beta for iOS 13 We do have a passcode policy, to enforce passcode in 1 hour after enrollment on every iOS device.

same. AirWatch is not honoring the clear device passcode command yet. Even tested against the new beta iOS 13.1

I too have same issue on-premise V 1811 using 1908 Intelligent Hub app on IOS 13.1 Beta 1. I am using Appleseed IT BETA, there is not version listed higher than BETA 2.

Update: Enrolled device on our UAT SAAS environment v 19.9. Clear passcode commnad worked as expected.

I opened a support case with engineering asking if they plan to release patch to address this issue for Workspace One versions prior to latest release 1908.

I ran the SQL script against my database (1907), and I'm still not able to unlock my iPad running iOS 13.1.

Mark,
     I assume device was already enrolled? My VMware professional support engineer contact said should work as long as it's applied before OS is updated. Because DB doesn't have the required token that IOS 13 requires to rest and push out passcode reset. If you push command to reset passcode before SQL update was appled device will have to be reenrolled to support remote command to reset passcode.

I will be testing that scenario next week. Process will be to apply SQL Script, update anohter one of my iPad/iPhone to IOS 13 and then test passcode unlock. I will be report back outcome after change next week.

Brandon,

Yes, the device was already enrolled. I also opened a ticket about this, and apparently I wasn't reading the hotfix correctly. The way I read it was if you tried using the clear passcode function on an iOS 13 device without first applying the hotfix, you'd need to re-enroll the device to get that function to work. However, what the support engineer stated was that if any device is updated to iOS 13 before the hotfix is applied, you'll have to re-enroll those devices for the clear passcode function to work. This is regardless of whether or not you used the clear passcode function previously.

After I re-enrolled my iPad, I was able to clear the passcode.

Does this apply to iPad OS 13 as well?  I have an iPad device running iPad OS 13 beta 8 and the clear passcode command doesn't work as expected.
Also, will this be fixed for the initial public release for iOS 13 without having to perform any type of hot fix?
