Skyline: how long before findings clear

Skyline found an issue with our CPU Scheduler, I have followed the KB and Remediated the issue. How long does it take for skyline to clear its findings? or do i need to mute them after i fix them?

Hello AgreenCamas

It takes 48 to 72 hours for the changes to reflect on the Skyline Advisor.

Skyline polls data for 48 hours and generates the findings, any changes performed during the poll time are reflected only after the new recommendations are generated.

Hi,

When going back to the Proactive Findings page from a finding, the filter applied remains applied. The filter is not cleared until you explicitly clear the filter using the Clear All button.

I am not trying to clear the filter. I have fixed the findings and they still remain.

Hi,

OK!  this is the system

Mute Findings

Mute an inventory object to remove it from being listed within the affected objects list of a finding. Muted inventory objects no longer appear within the Affected Objects list of any Finding where the object could be impacted by the potential issue. This is useful when it is known that particular inventory objects have known issues, or remediation is not performed due to the purpose of the object, such as a test or development environment.

thanks for your reply. this feature is for muting a recommendation. my issue is that i have fixed two issues based on the KB, and am not seeing the recommendations disappear. in your example, it talks about muting the finding because it cant be remediated.

hmmm.

I've applied the 2.0.123.0 Qlogic driver set to remediate the issue in KB71361 on a few hosts between 1 and 3 weeks ago and they remain in the host list for this finding, alongside hosts that have yet to be patched.

Filtering the packages list on each of the hosts shows the updated drivers are in place.

Suggestions?

I have the same question.  I have resolved several of the findings but they never go away.  It's been well over 48 to 72 hours.

@toddg1

Thank you for writing to us.

All queries related stale/false findings on Skyline Advisor would require investigation from the back-end.

Please DM the organization details to help us investigate the issue for you.
