VM Workstation 15 Guest suddenly shut down on drag n drop

If I drag some files directly from a Zip Archive from the 7-Zip GUI (https://www.7-zip.org/) to the VM guest the guest system is shut down immediately.

I think that could be a bug. - It is reproduce-able.

Can somebody else confirm this behavior?

VMWare 15.5.1, dragging files in caused a vm force shutdown

So you are not the only one who is experiencing this.

Mikero is this a known issue?

Hi,

try reinstalling the vmware tools on the virtual machine, and try again.

Does this happen with all Microsoft or Linux operating systems?

Thanks for answering.

That is exactly what I had. So it is a known bug. I also tried reinstalling VMWare Tools. Same behavior.

Not sure yet if it is known issue, I just happened to notice it was posted earlier last week.

Which is why I added Workstation's product manager to the discussion, just to make sure that VMware knows about it too.
