So we have upgraded 4 blades to 6.7u3 and this alert for ESXi 6.7 and 6.5 Host PSOD on QFLE3I driver on QLogic 57840 10/20 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter has cropped up for all of the hosts, when I examine the KB it directs me to a driver pack, I login to the hosts to verify the installed drivers and find the following:
Name Vendor Version
---- ------ -------
nqlcnic QLC 6.0.63-1OEM.650.0.0.4240417
qcnic QLC 1.0.26.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
qedentv QLC 3.11.7.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
qedf QLC 1.3.36.0-1OEM.600.0.0.2768847
qedi QLC 2.10.15.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
qedrntv QLC 3.11.7.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
qfle3 QLC 1.0.86.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
qfle3f QLC 1.0.68.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
qfle3i QLC 1.0.23.0-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922
The drivers above are installed on all four blades, they also pass their network health checks so they are not alerting on the issue specified. Cant seem to see why these blades are alerting on this issue, the only thing is that it driver version that skyline refers to is qfle3-1.0.77.4 driver which is not the version that is installed however it is a higher version that is in the driver pack referenced in VMware Knowledge Base .
Not sure what this issue is but looks like it is something with skyline rather than the blades itself
Hi Mathew,
Thank you for sharing the screenshot. There were some back end issues recently which triggered false alert e mails which might have caused the issue. This issue is resolved now. In case you see the alert again, please share the screenshot of the alert from Advisor for further investigation.
Hi,
Please share the required details using the link below and we will update you shortly.
Hi, I have completed the form, thanks for the response.
Hi Matthew,
Thank you for sharing the details. I have verified the findings and recommendations for your Skyline collector and I don't see the finding you are referring to (KB 56357) in the Skyline Advisor tool. Please let me know if you see this in vCenter, under skyline health. If yes, please note that this is not an issue detected by Skyline but by vCenter. You need to contact our vCenter support team for help regarding this.
