Horizon: Endpoints not working

I am experiencing issues with Skyline monitoring VMware Horizon Connection servers.

My existing connections to Horizon Connection servers are reporting: Endpoints not working.

I decided to edit an existing configuration which did not work, so I decided to create a new Horizon Connection server config in Skyline. When adding a Connection server I get the following error:

There was an error while trying to add your Horizon View:

Certificate validation timed out.

Please try a different configuration.

I tried to do a curl from the console to the connection server. The output is pasted below:

It seems Skyline is having issues connecting to the Connection server due to missing root and intermediate certificates. This all makes sense since I did not add these certificates to the keystore. The strange part is that Horizon monitoring did work before, so this issue could come from an update of Skyline....

I checked documentation but I was not able to find a resolution so far....any ideas someone?

No additional network ports are needed for Horizon View Log assist to work. But you will need to set up the user permissions as per the following KB:

VMware Knowledge Base

Also. please note it will only work for Connection server version 7.10 or higher.

Hello Hofkicks,

There heve been a few changes to the way Skyline Collector connects to Horizon View with version 2.3 to facilitate transfer of Horizon Connection Server Log Bundles with Log Assist. This would have caused the issue.

I checked documentation yesterday, but I did not find any new requirements like firewall rules for getting Horizon log transfers to Skyline. Is there a need to open additional firewall ports to make this function work properly?

Thank you for your answer. We are planning an upgrade to 7.10 later this month so the issue will be resolved automatically.
