The target host does not support the virtual machine's current hardware requirements

Hello,

I recently upgraded my VCenter and ESXi hosts from 6.0U3 to 6.5U3. Everything is working great except for an issue with 5 of my VMs. When I try to migrate them to another host I get the message below. EVC is enabled on the cluster and I do not have any issues migrating any of the other VMs, just these 5. Some of the VMs are on hardware version 11 and some are on 13, So I know it doesn't have anything to do with the hardware version. Has anyone seen this issue before? I would hate to have to build a whole new cluster when I think the issue could be with the VMs themselves.

The target host does not support the virtual machine's current hardware requirements. To resolve CPU incompatibilities, use a cluster with Enhanced vMotion Compatibility (EVC) enabled. See KB article 1003212.

Check if you have the same build versions on ESXi and let us know.

Does the error message list the features that are missing?

6.5 U3 should accept vHW 13, however I remeber O solved something like that enabling Per VM EVC, but this was VCSA 6.7 U3.

Are your CPUs identical 100% ?
