Unable to SSH to VCSA

I have two Vcenters  both are setup with HA so I have three VCSA running      Primary  Peer Witness

The are working fine.

I am unable to ssh into them

I am using Cygwin  to ssh

I can ssh into the ESXI hosts with no problem

I keep getting

Permission denied, please try again.

I can logon using the web interface

SSH is enabled

Any ideas?

console is probably disabled, you will need to log onto the management page and enable it

Check the following thread, it may help you to fix the issue

Access to VCSA through SSH and/or local console is NOT working. Help!

You may have to edit /etc/passwd file

In order to configure HA you must have enabled SSH on the first VCSA. Otherwise the build process for HA wouldn't work. So assuming SSH is still enabled, could it be you are not using a root account or equivalent?

Hello

Thank you all for your responses.

I have SSH Enabled on the VCSA

I am logging in with ROOT which is the only account on the VCSA

Still looking into this

So you can login to the GUI using the root account?

Do you have any special characters in the password, which may cause issues with the keyboard layout?

SSH must be enable to VCHA works correctly, so it's started but if you confronting with Access Denied, it means you have network access on vCenter TCP Port 22 (ssh://VCSA:22) and the problem is related to the permission problem. So check the credential's permission to have SSH access to the vCenter. if you don't try with the VCSA's root account, then add enough permission for accessing the shell of VCSA.
