Single cluster VM encryption scenario

Hello everyone,

I need help about a question because i want to encrypt some VM's but i dont know between "platform services controller" and " vSphere replication appliance" which one should i exclude from encryption ?

they both perform different functions, is there a reason you want to exclude them from encryption
