/proc/cpuinfo show invalid frequency

Hi,

Host - windows10

Guest - ubuntu 19.10 or 18.04

cat /proc/cpuinfo shows invalid (always max) frequency. How to configure VmWare or Ubuntu to show correct value from host OS?

You have a windows 10 host, where you installed Vmware Workstation Player 15 and you virtualized a VM with Ubuntu ... correct?

Well, you can post the log or the result screen of the cat / proc / cpuinfo command.

With this we should have everything we need to understand the problem.

Yes, right. Host is Windows10 Pro, Ubuntu is a guest.

I try to figure out why my fan is spinnig all the time during VmWare running even if processor is cold. It was one of my hypothesis.
