Hello all,
I have two vSphere Replication Appliance working fine, replicating virtual machines between two vCenters, SITE A and SITE B. Now i'm trying to setup a vSphere Replication Server in SITE A, to replicate machines in another storage in same vCenter.
I'm facing this problem when I try to setup the adresses: Given IP is not a valid local IP address.
Vendor: | VMware, Inc. |
Appliance Name: | vSphere Replication Server |
Appliance Version: | 8.2.0.9236 Build 14761900 |
Those IP addresses match the IP address you have given to the vSphere replication server. I would double check the IP & GW you have set are correct
Yeah, i posted the screenshot of the IP configuration of the Replication Server, confirmed with /opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net and ifconfig too.
I'm managing this web configurator in address https://10.29.250.253:5480
Hello Bruno,
I could see your Gateway is 10.29.0.x whereas the ip address you have set is 10.29.250.x . Is that how your infrastructure is laid out.
Regards
Ritesh.
Hello Ritesh,
As the screenshot shows, it's a /16 network.
The error says that my IP address is not an local address, even if the networks were wrong (it's not) I don't see any relation with this error.
Thank you.
IIRC correctly you'd use 127.0.0.1 for these addresses unless you use multiple virtual network adapters.
André
Hello André,
Don't think so...
This is how my Appliance is configured:
Hi Bruno,
Try Adding the vSphere replication server IP address and FQDN on the vSphere replication appliance and add entries for both the appliance and server on the vSphere replication Server /etc/hosts file.
Let me know if it works.
