Hello all,
I am building NSX-T 2.5 nested setup in lab environment. i have question on TEP communication,
I have prepared 3 esx hosts for NSX-T.. NVDS, Transport Node has configured properly even TEP "VMK10" configured on every ESXi node.
My query is :- Does TEP communication will work in this case? I don't have EDGE or Edge Cluster configured.
In my environment MTU has been set to jumbo and (vmkping ++netstack=vxlan <destination tep ip>) is not working.
I have enabled MAC-Address-Change & Forged transmit setting on Base ESXi
Thanks for your reply
Are the 3 Nested hosts running on the same physical host?
Ive included a good blog below which runs through running NSX-T Nested
You don't need edge for TEP communication between TNs to occur. Check VLAN and tagging on your uplink profile. In the uplink profile transport VLAN should match the VLAN you are using for TEP.
