how to take backup of the instance in 6.7 esxi

hi,

how to take instance backup on exsi 6.7

i have 2 drive stores

one is 500gb ssd completed allocated to one instance

other 2tb i have 1tb space free

Backup the ESXi configuration, backup your VMs, or backup everything?

What do you need to take backup exactly? ESXi config, data or whole of them or only VM files only?
