Strange Background Pattern

Can anyone explain what this is? This is the background image of a portion of a guest OS I was working with. This happened after I wake the host OS from sleep mode. It does not affect the functionality of the OS.

looks like something wrong in the rendering part. Will you please upload the VMware.log and clear steps to reproduce? Also Workstation, GOS, HOS and Graphic version are needed. Thanks very much

What is the host OS and VM guest OS? Did you deploy your VMware workstation in the ubuntu system? (I guess because of the attached picture)

Did you install the VMware Tools successfully into the VM guest OS? Is it recognized correctly?
