Problems scanning virtual machine with Nmap

Hi there!

I walked into a little problem since I've upgraded from Fusion Pro 11.1.1 to 11.5.1 and I thought maybe someone else might have experienced it and has found a work-a-round.

I am unable to scan a VM from another VM with Nmap. They're both on a custom private network. They can ping each other, but when I run an Nmap scan I get back that all the ports are filterd. This is probably due to a firewall in the middle but I can't find the option to turn it off and this is quite new for me since I didn't have any problems in 11.1.1

Does anyone have experience with this and if so, could you point me in the right direction on how to resolve this issue?

Best Regards,

Pascalle

Hm, weird... I don't think we're restricting any ports, and I'm pretty certain we didn't implement a new firewall on the vmnet virtual switches. (I did just write this down as a feature request earlier today as it so happens!).

Does the issue persist on Host Only, Bridged (if possible) or standard NAT?

Have you tried to enable promiscuos mode for the nics ?

ethernet0.noPromisc = "true" / "false"
