Hello,
I'm having a problem with Workstation Pro 15, whenever I try to launch a VM I just get an error: "VMware Workstation and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Workstation." Hyper-V is not installed in my OS, I have run the Powershell command 'Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName VirtualMachinePlatform' as Admin, i have also run '\DG_Readiness_Tool_v3.6.ps1 -Disable' and reboot and done the Bootloader confirmation to disable. Yet for some reason I'm still getting this notice,
Some other Info:
CPU: Ryzen 3900X (Virtualisation enabled)
Windows 10 Pro, 1809 (build 17763.864)
Core Isolation Memory Integrity is turned off
Can you post a screenshot or list of all the features you have installed? There are some features that may enable Hyper-V services even if the hypervisor itself is not installed. Or post a screenshot of your services. Like the attached files shows I happen to be at the point where I am installing 15.5.1 on the latest Windows I0 inside build and you can see none of these services is running so I anticipate no problems ... and in fact there are none. I have many VM on Linux and will copy a few to Windows to get started. Also, I will install Vmware Converter and virtualize my physical disk for use on Linux. Now, maybe, just maybe, VMware will realize a version of WS which is compatible with Hyper-v - if so I'll spend the money to upgrade.
