Virtual usb drive

Is it possible for vsphere to create and mount unmount a usb drive to a virtual machine.

It sould be the same as inserting/removing a usb stick but then for an CI environment

HI,

Of course it is possible, insert the USB key into the esxi host (hardware) and then install the USB controller on the virtual machine and see the USB drive

I believe OP meant to create a virtual USB drive then use it the same way you would with a virtual CD/floppy/network (connect/disconnect on the fly)

Easy answer here is "no". vSphere doesn't create such devices for you.

At least not officially, i.e. not supported.

However, the discussion Re: Idea / Feature Suggestion: Useful to have vmdk disks, usually SCSI / SATA / IDE, make possible f... is somehow interesting?
