Standard Acceleration Kit Trial

We are licensed for Essentials (Running vSphere 6.7.0) and unable to migrate storage, live. I understand that I will need the Standard Acceleration kit and would like to try before purchasing. However, my searches do not bring it up as a stand-alone solution. Is the trial of a new version of vSphere? A link would be helpful.

This is not how its going Smiley Wink

You can reinstall one of your Hosts and reinstall a vCenter ... than you have a 60 Trial again.

How does your environment look like regarding storage, and networking, and what exactly do you need to migrate (from where to where)?

I'm asking, because it may be possible to achieve your goals with an "Essentials Plus" Kit, which allows live migration with both, compute and storage at the same time, even without shared storage.

The enhancement to “Change both host and datastore” using the migration wizard was introduced in 2012 with vSphere 5.1.0a, and only requires a vMotion license, which is included in Essentials Plus.

from VMware vCenter Server 5.1.0a Release Notes

Unable to access the cross-host Storage vMotion feature from the vSphere Web Client with an Essentials Plus license

If you start the migration wizard for a powered on virtual machine with an Essentials Plus license, the Change both host and datastore option in the migration wizard is disabled, and the following error message is displayed:

Storage vMotion is not licensed on this host.

To perform this migration without a license, power off the virtual machine.

This issue is resolved in this release.
