NSX-V ESG Way of Backup/Restore

Hi Team,

I just wanted to know if there is each of ESG backup and restore method  for NSX-V 6.4.6.

The user guide says NSX Manager backup include whole NSX environment with every edge configurations.

However our requirement is to backup and restore an individual ESG.

No officail informatoin but I just got api based edge backup is available  as below but no wonder if it work to restore it.

GET https://<nsx-manager>/api/4.0/edges/<edge-id>

Your all input would be grateful for me!

You can't backup/restore individual components in NSX , it is certainly unsupported. Restore NSX Edges

VMware NSX 6.3.4 - Is it possible to restore a Single NSX Edge / DLR instance rather than doing a co...  . However you can certainly take a backup of  edge configuration data via API and push to new edges.

Thanks for the comment on this.

We will do the testing with API based backup/restore for Edge. It is not supported though.
