Restart VM automatically after reboot ESXI

Hello everyone,

I have one question about vSphere 6.7.

Its possible to configure VM to restart automatically after reboot esxi ? Because, i saw on few websites they say :

If the host is part of a vSphere HA cluster, the automatic startup and shutdown of virtual machines will be disabled.

We are 3 esxi on a cluster HA and on vCenter  the order is start manualy and cant change it.

Thanks for help.

Hi,

As per;

Edit Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown Settings in the vSphere Web Client

Its indeed true you can not use automatic start/stop combined with HA.

HA will restart the VM's for you in case of a host failure.

Hi,

you can configure the shutdown/ startup sequence, but it might not be working as expected. Therefore I would avoid using this feature. It works flawless for single hosts.

Hi

You can change it from ESXi web client. If you can't do it, remove host from cluster ,change it and join it again.
