NSX-t versions versus Compute and management ESX

Hi all,

everybody knows this matrix: VMware Product Interoperability Matrices

we are going to user the version 6.7U2 with nsx-t 2.5.0 (edge transport and  manager) in case the customer would like to downgrande to nsx-t 2.4.x

i would llike to be sure that vmware will support the version 2.5.0 even it is in NSX Manager and in EDGES.

if someone can give a latest example of a supported NSX-T design.

Thanks all

In the current version only NSX-V can be user for Management Domain. We are waiting for an update that allows only NSX-T to be used, both for management and WLDs.

I didn't actually understand what your question is. If you go with 6.7U2 you can have either NSX-T 2.5 or 2.4 as shown below and in the url you sent.

yes, i have reread my question, wasn't clear.

this is the reference: Virtual Infrastructure Overview for NSX-T Workload Domains

in this VVD Vmware is talking about shared edge in the MGT Cluster under NSX-V even if the design is NSX-T basically.

it is confusing because i don't know if nsx-v in MGT cluster is a possibilty or a mandatory design.

this is the VVD diagram in the link reported above:

to be straightforward, i would like to have the NSX-T and only NSX-T everywhere and i would like to use the LB in the MGT Cluster with NSX-T edge services like this:

can u share your opinions please?

Thanks

ok mauricioamorim thanks for the answer.

now meanwhile we need licenses, can we use the same licenses on nsx-v and nsx-t on the MGT POD?

Licenses are for NSX Datacenter and can be used either for NSX-V or NSX-T. As long as all hosts that use NSX are licensed you're ok.
