Dear VMWARE
this is so frustrating that I would like to yell on this mess. I know you are aware of
https://communities.vmware.com/message/2873034#2873034
and
VMware Knowledge Base work around is useless as you can see:

anybody with other work around ?
Moderator: Moved to Converter Standalone
nobody really?
Hello,
You should be aware that CentOS 7.6 is not supported by Converter (see VMware vCenter Converter Standalone 6.2.0.1 Release Notes ).
As a possible workaround, you might try upgrading the source to 7.7 before converting.
The reason that the workaround described doesn't work looks like is due to Red Hat dropping these packages from their repository.
Regards,
Plamen
