maximun amount of traffic on a vmkernel/vswitch/vDS?

hi guys,

i'm wandering about whether there are traffic limitations on vmkernel/vswitch/vDS for the vSphere 6.5/6.7 or not.

I just read this document: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/vsphere-esxi-vcenter-server-65-networking-guide.pdf

however, it seemed that there's no traffic limitations on kernel(or the virtual switch).

so i suppose that there's no redundancy problem and traffic upper limit for a single kernel despite "management", "vsan", "vMotion" (and other traffic) are enabled together?

Regarding the vSwitch, will it overloading and crash if all the traffic(kernel and VM portgroup) are located on it and perform extremely high networking transmission ? or should the traffic be separate to multiple vSwitches to reduce the loading?

in my opinion, the network traffic is actually dealt by the vmnic and the maximum network bandwidth is limited by the NIC therefore utilizing a single vSwitch and set the traffic to the specific vmnics is the only thing need to worry about.
