DCUI Interaction/Automation

Hi,

Is anyone aware of how to restore to standard switch (DCUI) via command line? I've traced various log files while executing it via the console but did not leave me many clues to work off of.

We have hundreds of boxes we need to do it for and would like to build some automation around it. (fwiw, tried leveraging host profiles to no avail...)

Thanks,

Thomas

thank you and will take that into consideration.

with that said, what i'm trying to figure out is, what commands are being executed under the hood for "restore to standard switch". hopefully someone has figured this out already?

I will try tracing the log files as I just realized the logging levels were set to INFO.

Because of restoring networking settings (VSS / VDS) will cause connectivity loss to the ESXi host, I think there is no direct syntax in ESXCLI to do that. (you can do restart operation but no option for restore). However, if you want to do it in CLI environment, you can run DCUI in shell / SSH access and do which of restore operations you need

Thank you for the response. What I'm chasing down is what is being run under the covers when restoring from standard switch via the DCUI,
