Error during provisioning: View Composer Datastore Fault: For Datastore - datastore-9188

Hello

Hope every one is doing well. I need help; hopefully someone can provide some help.

Environment:

2K16 Servers

View Composer 7.5.2

View Connection 7.5.2

SQL Server

Link Clones

VMware Tools 10.3.10

We are getting the following error when creating a Desktop Pool and adding LCs to a current Desktop Pool.

"Error during provisioning: View Composer Datastore Fault: For Datastore - datastore-9188"

The Datastore sees all of the hosts and all of the Hosts and our ESXi Cluster see's the datastore see it as normal.

We have rebooted our SQL, View Connection, View Composer and two of the ESXi Hosts that we suspect could be contributing to the issue and are in Maintenance Mode.

Are you able to see the error in the viewcomposer logs on the composer server? This would be the first place to look as to why it is failing.

In the past if a host was in MM provisioning can fail because the host is simply in MM.

Hi, it sounds like the data store being used cannot be written to.  If you browse to the data store in question using vCenter, are you able to create an empty folder in it? I found the below article which looks to be similar to the error you are seeing with your data store.  It sounds like a permissions issue.

The Error occurs when one or more Hosts in the clusters has a missing datastore which is configured in the Pool. Configure all needed Datastores identical in the cluster resolved the issue.
