VM workstation wifi connection

hello guys i'm having technical issue here i can't connect kali to the wifi network it's showing me it's Ethernet cable for some reason i don't know why is that and i tried to find a solution online but none of them work please guys if anyone have any idea about solution

Host OS?  Workstation version?  Guest OS version?

Assuming your Kali Linux here is your guest OS...  A virtual machine will ALWAYS see the network interface as wired.  You set the network settings on the host, via the VMware Network Configuration program.  If you want/need an actual wireless connection in a guest, you will need to use a USB wifi dongle and attach it to the guest.  Refer to the Workstation documentation for setting up networks.

Hi, as stated already, you would typically use the "wired" virtual nic inside the Kali guest. This arrangement enables you to share your host's wireless connection with multiple guest VMs.

If you want to dedicate the wifi to Kali only, you need to disable the adapter on the host and add it to your Kali VM. There is a short tutorial on youtube covering how to do this:

Obviously, neither the host OS nor other guest VMs can then use the wifi adapter directly.

my system in windows 10 and kali is the guest

so you thing the only thing i can do is to buy a usb wifi adapter

but do you have any idea about installing kali on flash drive so i can move it with me anywhere and use it on different PC or Laptops

For me also it is showing same issue. And some times it works fine, and some time it raises a issue like this. Can anyone help me

This is a great tutorial if the wireless is a USB, but what if the wireless is an added network card in the host operating system?

The guest operating system, Kali is connected using the Hosts wired connection, I would like to make the wireless connection available to only the guest operating system that is Kali.
